Hope you liked it - there’s so much more to it than the full band version IMO. It’s also getting expensive now as I just had to seek out and buy the rare-ish 180g vinyl version of the acoustic Steve McQueen album. Sounds sublime though.

Thanks - I’ll check it out. That’s the brilliance of Spotify. I listened to The Blue Aeroplanes for the first time recently having been aware of them for decades - fantastic. 1985 was also a brilliant year for great albums by a number of bands - The Waterboys, The Cult, Simple Minds…

The claim is that the name Sting was made up by his mates because he wore a yellow and black striped top. No way would anyone’s mates come up with this - it would be ‘Waspy’ or ‘Mr Bumble’. It might have been closer in Bristol but would have been ‘Stinger’… “Lookout lads - Stinger’s ‘ere!”
