Bummer. I'm sure you got the gist of this article just from the comments, but you might wanna consider making a fake email address for just such occasions in the future. I have one that I use for anything that I know is gonna send me a bunch of spam. Proton mail can be completely anonymous.

You can, iPhone will create a dummy email for you. If you click the box it will ask if you want to hide your email. Just hit yes.

I am sure Android has something similar.

If you have an iPhone, just click the box where it says enter email. IOS will ask if you want to "hide your email" just hit yes and it will input a randomized dummy email. Hit yes again and you can read the article.
