Manger, Budtender, Menu builder and Ordering Manager of a legal cannab dispensary.

Diet: Politics and energy drinks.

Fascinated with the legal Cannabis industry and how brands position themselves and their product line choices in our weird landscape.
IIRC, for frequent consumers it can be stored in fatty tissue and show up on tests long after it would for casual/infrequent consumers.

Unfairly dinging patients even further

Oh man. I just clicked on your profile. You founded the Buyer's Club.

That's about as iconic as iconic gets in the world of Canadian patients/medical.

You're amazing. Still standing against stupid laws post legalization for patients is pretty amazing.

We know terpenes can be toxic at high concentrations.

But almost no where has any form of data or regulations around if those levels are safe to consume regularly.

Sorry if I got a bit aggro there. There's definitely valid reasons to be concerned, and I should be less dismissive
November 19, 2024 at 3:31 AM
And other concerns like the hyper fixation on THC, because it causes effects we can readily see.

Cannabis has 100's of compounds. Dozens of different cannabinoids. Dozens of terpenes.

The only thing looked at is THC%. No questions of medication interactions. Other compounds.
November 19, 2024 at 3:27 AM
But with these studies there's also a massive gap of info. The product consumed.

Who grew it? Using what inputs? What were the genetics? Was it lab tested? With dabs were they tested? Were they made using butane? Was it entirely purged?
November 19, 2024 at 3:25 AM
100%

I also have concerns about things like ingesting the significantly higher rate if terpenes inany extracts/vapes. We just don't have a lot of info at consumption at those levels.
November 19, 2024 at 3:24 AM
There's definitely concerns.

And people have every right to be cautious. A lot of uncharted territory

I just get fired up as the medical establishment has been not exactly above board when it comes to cannabis
November 19, 2024 at 3:04 AM
I mean, you keep vying for my attention by replying so it seems like you don't actually believe that.
November 19, 2024 at 3:03 AM
10? 13?

Is there a limit I'm not aware of?

You should just give up though. You're just not good at this.
November 19, 2024 at 2:59 AM
Dismissed? Nope.

But she sure throws around a lot of unfounded claims in that Lancet piece.

Just out of thin air claims. Not supported by botony or any evidence.
November 19, 2024 at 2:57 AM
Researcher from a Psychiatry related group?

Dead give away.

Can't have people consuming a plant.

Harder to milk people out of money with the DSM that way.
November 19, 2024 at 2:56 AM
She also refers to Cannabis extracts (dabs) as "synthetic mind bending hits"

Equivalent to 190 proof alcohol? Is that so doc? I'd love to see your work on that entirely pulled out of thin air claim.
November 19, 2024 at 2:54 AM
Existing research (one study)

And the only thing a psychiatrist can point to ia increased hospital visits after novices consume high potency concentrates due to: "Lack of labelling/serving size"
November 19, 2024 at 2:53 AM
Apparently, the plant has a THC limit of 10-20%. Which isn't accurate and just pulled out of thin air. There are limits. But 20% ain't it.

And if anything over 35% is high potency and can cause life long disorders....

Why haven't we seen a staggering increase for 50 years due to Hash?
November 19, 2024 at 2:49 AM
That study that quote refers to has the same problems as most other "Cannabis causes schizophrenia" type studies.

They make multiple assumptions about first incident psychosis

And do not take predisposition to disorders onto account.

They can't even talk accurately about the plant itself....

Let me know if you need further explanation on "...make a better effort at...." and what's being implied there....

Hurt my feelings lol. I'm a conservative who loathes the direction conservatism is going in.... And was on twitter...

Almost, friend. Almost.
November 19, 2024 at 2:35 AM
No, you didn't hurt my feelings.

Hence the "...make a better effort at ..."

Valiant effort. Very knight in shining armour of you.

If it was a missed joke(Happens alot in text, especially with sarcasm). They can say that. I'll gladly apologize for being a jerk.
November 19, 2024 at 2:31 AM
I legit haven't laughed so hard at a response in a long time.
November 19, 2024 at 1:55 AM
Buy 2 ounces.

Get the kids to sell 1 oz in pre rolls at school at a crazy mark up. Not to teachers. They have loose lips.

Smoke the other.

Boom. Child support paying itself right there.
November 19, 2024 at 1:42 AM
Weed and porn is a toughy. I always find myself thinking: "18 minutes? He lasts 18 minutes? That's not realistic."

But weed and games? Dive through a smoke grenade. Get hit by 3 bullets. Throw an axe at a guy 80 feet away? Totally believable. I could do that.
November 19, 2024 at 1:38 AM
I can list some things about my physical appearance you don't like.

Video game insults don't seem to be your bag.

"You suck at Rocket League" is actually a wildly popular YT series and inside joke for the RL community.
November 19, 2024 at 1:30 AM
I'm also bad at Call of Duty if that helps.

And Fractions. Awful at fractions.

Just in case you wanted to make a better effort of hurting my feelings.
November 19, 2024 at 1:25 AM
I mean, maybe?

Or it's just the largest segment of the player base is Plat/Diamond...

And we're all really bad in that range
November 19, 2024 at 1:23 AM
I, like most people, absolutely do.

Crazy high skill ceiling and I'm no where even remotely near the top.
November 19, 2024 at 1:18 AM
Fuck no.

That's what the weed is for. To make the walking more tolerable.
