I am thinking about making some banners/wall hangings that read “Feed all tyrants to the soil” inspired by a British artist called Sin Eater.

I have been working on a commissioned quilt for a long time (over a year now) that is very close to my heart. I am hand dyeing and hand piecing the top from upcycled fabric, mostly linen. It is called “may all green things grow”. Still a wip but here’s a look at it!

Being in Seattle for Handmadeland was so wonderful. I miss the PNW a lot. We ate our weight in seafood (poke, sushi, oysters, fancy small plates) and now are back in the land of beef…

Getting everything tagged and ready to head to Seattle for Handmadeland this weekend! My boo is driving me and we are psyched to eat some good food. This is the new rainbow of quilt coats I’ll be bringing with me.

Studio waste reduction cont:

The smallest scraps I set aside to make paper. A lot of these scraps have been hand dyed and I hate to waste them! I only keep cotton/linen/rayon fibers for this.

Studio waste reduction cont:
The bigger fabric scraps I produce I set aside to work into my quilts, or I turn them into pot holders or scrunchies, using upcycled elastic as well.

One of the things I’ve been working on in my studio practice is reducing waste. I keep my scraps and grade them out for different uses. Fabric scraps with polyester thread or batting scraps I set aside to fill pet pillows.

Hello Bluesky folk! I am excited to explore a new option for social media, but afraid to add more to my plate as a micro biz owner/artist. Let’s make this a good place💖
