There isn't really a bad choice. There are a few dominant chains that have locations everywhere. "American" vs "Lafayette" has the lore--started by 2 brothers, rival chili recipes, original locations etc etc. BUT my family swears by (and ships in bricks of) National, better known in the suburbs.
