Too much going on yesterday to post, but my kid made a sign for the protest we went to! The grown ups made signs too, but they weren’t as interesting. 😂

Spent a few hours ignoring the world and sewing myself a new shirt. Feeling happier. Now back to fighting the good fight.

I need more eyes. I have some hot air balloon blocks that I’ve had forever, and I really want to finish the quilt. But I can’t decide what to use for sashing. I have two options right now, which one do you like better? Or should I keep looking? Blocks most likely to blend are with each option.

News is terrible, as always these days, so I spent some time sewing my rainbow jacket! A little beacon of sparkly happiness for today.

America has frozen military aid to Ukraine and we are in a trade war with Canada, of all places. How have we come to this?

Anyway. Here’s some quilted bunny coasters I created. Remember to defend democracy, not dictators.

In addition to sewing Ukraine support hearts, I also did some work on my sparkly rainbow jacket. Got the zipper in! Now I just need to finish the hood and topstitch everything down.

I’m still thinking about what happened in the Oval Office yesterday. I am so heartsick and upset about it. I went up to my sewing room today to sew some of my emotions. Not sure where it’s going yet, but I still stand with Ukraine.
Yellow and blue fabric, some sewn into half square triangles. These are the same colors as the Ukraine flag, a country which has been bravely fighting to hold the line for democracy and whose president deserves the upmost respect and not to be treated like the way the American president and vice president treated him on Friday, 2/28/2025.
