Well, I managed to sleep it off, whatever it was. Not a hangover as I don't drink alcohol (haven't in years), just felt similar to how I remember them. 😅

It's supposed to turn into a fidget cube. 😅 So I'd say you last guess isn't too far off. The tutorial in question that I'm riffing off has me doing a handheld console. So for practice I'm doing something similar (with those knobs and overall form factor) relying on my memory as much as possible.

Agreed, felt deep enough to keep me coming back and try out all the classes, but at the same time it didn't overstay it's welcome. My favorite of these is probably Grim Dawn all things considered. Really looking forward to Titan Quest 2.
