It's interesting that UK commentators are outspoken on the fall of the £ against the $ but not mentioning the fall of the € as well. The problem is that the $ is higher against most currencies, more a function of what is going on in the US economy, not necessarily all good.

Can anyone explain why the RSV jab is not being offered to the over 80s? The NHS suggests the evidence for over 80s benefiting from the vaccine is "inconclusive". Can it be because those in this cohort (including me) are dying of other causes? I'm as mad as he'll about this!

What is TFL thinking? Not only is the Windrush Line closed for the entire weekend, but the DLR is closed as well from Bank Station. This is happening in the busiest run up to Christmas period. Surely this could have waited until late January.

. @bsky.app Very happy with my switch from Twitter (X) to BlueSky except for one feature. When I go in to BlueSky I am taken to the newest posts rather than to where I logged out. It means I am missing postings that I didn't get to. Can this be altered?
