Laws that make it a crime to be homeless waste money, make communities less safe, and make it harder to solve homelessness.

Instead of passing counterproductive laws, New Hampshire lawmakers must instead focus their energy on ensuring that everybody has a safe place to call home.

Last week HB 148, a bill that would have rolled back years of bipartisan anti-discrimination protections for transgender and gender nonconforming Granite Staters, was defeated.

No matter what, we will never stop fighting for transgender Granite Staters.

Our right to freedom of expression means being able to read whatever we want, whenever we want whether it’s “Perks of Being a Wallflower” or “Gender Queer.”

To live free is to read free, and we will never stop. #nhpolitics

The right to free expression includes the freedom to say, think, read, and write whatever we want.

However, bills like HB 324, could create an avenue for classroom censorship, have a chilling effect for educators, and impede on students’ right to an education free from censorship. #nhpolitics

Book bans are archaic, unpopular, and have no place in the Granite State. Tap the link below to tell Governor Ayotte to veto HB 324, the book ban bill, as it soon as it reaches her desk. #nhpolitics action.aclu.org/send-message...

HB 324, the book ban bill, is officially on its way to Governor Ayotte's desk.

If signed into law, HB 324 could create a chilling effect for educators and make it easier to ban books in classrooms, libraries, and schools across our state. #nhpolitics

We sat in the hallway and read some banned book classics like “Perks of Being a Wallflower,” filled out postcards urging Governor Ayotte to veto HB 324 when it reaches her desk, and even dropped off a gift basket that included a few of our personal favorite banned books. #nhpolitics

This morning, we gathered outside Governor Ayotte’s office for our read-in to protest HB 324, the book ban bill.

If passed, HB 324 could create a chilling effect for educators across NH and make it easier to ban books in classrooms and school libraries across our state. #nhpolitics

Grab your favorite banned book (or pick one up from us!) and join us for a Read-In to Keep Book Bans Out—right outside Governor Kelly Ayotte’s office this Thursday, June 26th at 9:00 am.

Help protect our freedom to read and urge the Governor to veto HB 324 when it reaches her desk soon. #nhpolitics

TAKE ACTION: Soon, two bills that could ban certain types of gender-affirming care for trans youth will be heading to Gov. Ayotte’s desk.

We cannot allow the government to interfere with personal health care decisions that should rightfully be made by patients, parents, and providers. #nhpolitics

This weekend, Granite Staters across New Hampshire showed up to exercise their First Amendment rights and free speech.

No one, not even the Trump administration, will silence us.

TAKE ACTION: Right now the NH Senate's proposed budget contains provisions that would catastrophically cut staff positions at the Department of Corrections and severely limit or eliminate positive rehabilitation programs like family visitation and educational and vocational programs. #nhpolitics

You can’t legislate away our existence and we will never stop fighting for our rights.
June 1, 2025 at 11:07 PM
TAKE ACTION: Soon, the NH Senate will be voting on what to include in the state budget, including a slew of harmful provisions that attack Granite Staters’ civil rights and liberties, including language that would make it easier to evict tenants despite our state enduring a severe housing crisis.

Tomorrow, the NH House will be voting on whether or not to restrict confidential birth control access for Granite Staters under the age of 18. Granite Staters deserve bodily autonomy and the freedom to make decisions about our futures - not bans on healthcare. #nhpolitics

TAKE ACTION: TOMORROW the NH Senate will be voting on whether or not to advance HB 148, a bill that would rollback anti-discrimination protections for trans Granite Staters and impose unpopular policies like bathroom bans in our state. #nhpolitics

TAKE ACTION: You can’t put a price tag on civil rights and liberties but right now, at the State House, NH lawmakers are leaving some of our most essential rights hanging in the balance. #nhpolitics

TAKE ACTION: This Thursday, NH lawmakers will vote on whether or not to ban confidential birth control for Granite Staters under the age of 18.
