I'm going to start telling people who ask me why questions about myself (like why my name is what it is or why I'm nonbinary) I'm just going to start matter-of-factly telling them, "You know, because of the wizard," like it's the most obvious thing in the world.

It occurs to me that while it sucks that almost no one at my job has bothered to find out my name still after over a year of working here, if they don't know my name, they can't deadname me.

The sheer length of time I was sublimating my femme desire to wear dresses and skirts as "I have Scottish ancestry, so maybe I should look into appropriate kilts to wear sometimes" is still staggering to me.

No, I love receiving wifi from upstairs down in the basement. It's totally fine that my ping is 3x what it was in my old apartment when it doesn't randomly drop altogether when testing to see if I can play FFXIV now. It's fine for it to take all day to download game updates.

I don't know what it says about anything that the most excited I've been about most things in a good while is because someone recognized my tattoo, which is based off a semi-obscure (to most people) card game that started in the 90s.

Lately I've been really struggling with certain labels and self-identifiers and whether I (me, personally) am allowed to claim them for myself.
I somehow feel like I look insufficiently femme and am too firmly a nonbinary cryptid to be allowed to consider calling myself a lesbian.
