Trading Isaac Collins and Nick Mears for a middle reliever wasn't about who was more valuable in 2025; it was about who would contribute more in Milwaukee moving forward.

Angel Zerpa has great stuff, and the Brewers may hold the missing link to his breakout.

The Brewers Can Unlock Ángel Zerpa's Upside by Making Him More Deceptive
Milwaukee parlayed career years from Isaac Collins and Nick Mears into a potential breakout reliever still trying to piece together his high-powered arsenal. They could supply the missing link.

Tobias Myers stopped using his changeup in games earlier this year because he couldn't throw it with fastball-like conviction. Thanks to a new split-changeup grip, he's back to throwing offspeed stuff.

RIP to a true legend, Bob Uecker. Mr. Baseball was so much more than just a funny actor and baseball announcer. He was selfless. He wanted everyone to love Milwaukee as much as he loved the city. He made everyone around him better. He never wanted attention around himself except to lift up baseball.

Aaron Ashby's stuff and command took off with a late-season move to the bullpen, but his breaking pitches and sequencing also improved in equally dramatic ways that aren't exclusive to a relief role.
