This month we celebrated the Ground Breaking for Pacific Avenue Senior Homes at 3701 Pacific Avenue, Livermore.The development, which received $6.1M of bond funding, will have 79 units of housing for low-income seniors, earning 20% to 60% of AMI, seniors experiencing homelessness.

The County receives $18.5M in CBDG. In addition to assisting over 1,000 people with housing services, the funds pay for community infrastructure, educational facilities, senior services like Meals on Wheels, home repair and legal help.

Did you know: There are 22,000 low income households that are served by the HUD's Housing Choice Vouchers in Alameda County, for a total of $525M in critically important funding that keeps people housed? The voucher is a form of federal assistance for low-income individuals helping to paying rent.
