I’d suggest that people do need some skin in the game in terms of payment. I would also allow anyone to open and utilize and HSA regardless of what kind of plan they have. The rules surrounding that are dumb.

If the government is assuring providers get paid… what incentive do they have to contain price? The lack of transparency in healthcare pricing is a HUGE problem.

Price transparency is a huge problem. If you try to get eh price of, say, an MRI, they ask what kind of insurance you have. The price should be clear, then insurance can provide discounts or copays etc.

There are several teams I enjoy, but for better or (usually) worse I grew up with the Hawks.
