It’s PASSED! VicForests has been abolished. After decades of logging & destruction, driving endangered species to near extinction, it is over. More to do to protect & restore Victoria’s forests but this is a big day. 1/2 🙏🏻 to all the forests activists who have given so much, and inspired me so much, over the last 20 yrs Our Greens amendments to guard against Labor’s ‘logging by stealth’ didn’t pass but we’ll keep working to ensure our forests are protected for good. 🌳
