this is a lot more like 2020 where just about everyone I knew was unhappy and there were a couple people even more miserable than I was

somehow it sucks worse when everyone you know is having a bad time. Like, 2019 sucked for me personally because I lost my dad and had a couple other folks I was close to die, but at least friends of mine had new babies and new loves and stuff and I could see the POSSIBILITY of happiness.
