RPGs have this issue that your main character kind if has to be a "Great Man" since if you didn’t have any effect on the world around you it would just be bad game design, but I feel like NV manages to strike a good balance by not having you be an outright "Great Man"

In all honesty I do think it is necessary for the game to avoid Great Man Theory bullshit, cause the idea of "Courier manages to save the Mojave by just becoming an enlightened despot over New Vegas" just makes my eyes roll. I think if I made a game I wouldn't make it differently.

There should have been an ending where Yes Man stares at the camera and states that he's the exact flavor of anarchist I am.

It still pisses me off that stuff like Mother 3 never got a release in the west. But at this point you kinda have to move on. If they didn't do it by now they're just never gonna do it.
