I kinda see where the season is going, but I don't think they've done a decent enough job for a good payoff. When you spend most of the time shoving the "tell" and neglecting the "show" part of storytelling, it lacks the needed strength. Stop treating your audience like they're stupid. Pls & ty.

And Ep5, Lucifer's song was so good and the immediate Vox song right after were legitimately good, but the music change is so... jarring. It took me by surprise and it doesn't feel good. Vox's dialogue and writing is also all over the place.

Fucking love Keith David. Husker is the best character, hands down. His songs always have nice animation styles, too. I can see myself playing that and Loser on repeat. Whatever my feelings for Hazbin Hotel, they have a top tier cast full of really talented voice actors and singers.

Back on the Vaggie and Charlie song. Wow, the animation is smooth and really good there. Specifically referring to the Charlie and Vaggie animation (the background isn't anything too special). That's where the Amazon money is going. It's funny because it reminds me of the pilot, which I liked a lot.

I still wanna know who on the team has no knowledge of Comedic Rule of Threes. The reporter gag and the Vox mob gag aren't funny to start with and are progressively less funny as they continue. Extremely painful.

I compare every episodic musical to Crazy Ex-Girlfriend that has a vision of what they want to do, the music slaps and is funny, and the creators trust their audience. They don't tell you what's happening and then immediately sing about it. The song actually moves the story along and is meaningful.

God dammit, I wanted it to be so good. I'm so mad. Why the fuck are we having an entire episode about Charlie freaking out about Vox and trying to prove redemption is possible and then we repeat the same exact scenario immediately after on the news?

They should learn from short 13-episode anime. Not even a second can be wasted in telling their story and expressing their vision. But Hazbin Hotel feels like it has a lot of time to waste. It lacks meaningful storytelling.

Vaike is usually the instigator, and Lon'qu and Chrom both meet him with inspired furver. Chrom and Vaike even have a cook-off, so it's definitely not specific to trading blows or sparring.

And Ichigo quickly learning his craft while at sea, only with his dad's journal as instructions to guide him. The crew would literally lay down their lives for him, and soon, Grimmjow's over protectiveness makes sense. And he cherishes their time together out at sea.

Literally me. He showed up in that role quest, but... </3 My man!

Werewolf makes the most sense to me. I see the argument for vampire, though. He and Steve living to that length would make them both vamps. But werewolves can have long lives, maybe regenerating cells to keep him living like Wolverine.
