I feel so bad for the Subnautica 2 devs, man. All this drama and horrible publisher actions will just lead to the game either being shelved or released to such a negative stigma that it's likely to lead to layoffs of the staff.

Despite my negativity in these aspects, it really is the skating above all else will keep me coming back. It's fun, fluid, and while not everything is there yet, it's such a chillout and vibe type of rhythm that I love from these games.
That games got a LONG road ahead but a road I wanna follow!

Cash shop is also all over the place. A LOT of the branded stuff is pretty expensive, but you can get boards, trucks, wheels etc for cheap. A constant rotating selection also sucks.
Non paid loot boxes are also your main earning track alongside leveling up different areas, all loop back to the shop

It's clear, Skate. is aimed at a newer generation of players. Art direction more stylized, characters talk with zero edge, there's a quirky AI assistant accompanying you, you canonically can't hurt yourself, "Skater Eyes"
