I've seen many American and British YouTubers raise that point about our Healthcare and social welfare system and compare it to their system. I am thankful for our style of care for people. However, unemployment and homelessness are on the rise and we're seeing more violence now.

Yes, I've seen many YouTubers now showing the uglier side to NYC and San Francisco. That is a shame.
NZ does have its share of issues, but it doesn't seem as tough as other parts of the world. Life here does feel easier (for many, anyways).

I was in Christchurch at the time of the 2011 Earthquake. The plans to restore the Cathedral have now stalled, sadly.

Those are all great places to see. Sorry to hear that you were turned down for residency. Some days I wish that I could live in New York City. It would be great to visit the US and see Texas, California, New Mexico and so on. One day...

Actually, Christchurch is my hometown. Auckland is where I work. All good, no worries.

Sure, NZ does small towns very well - Akaroa, Wanaka, Picton, etc. Why do you like NZ so much? What is one of your favourite places?
