It's been a chaotic week that has had me angrier than I've been in a long time at work.

A massive blue plush dinosaur lounges on a couch, wrapping its stubby arms and soft belly protectively around a smaller green triceratops plush and a very cozy human caught in the middle. One hand sticks out from the fluffy tangle while the blue dino’s quilted plates and gentle bulk make it look like a living weighted blanket with horns. The vibe: prehistoric cuddle pile, no survivors.

A heap of plush friends sprawled across a cozy surface, all squished together in a sleepy cuddle-pile. Front-and-center is a big, soft, mint-green dragon plush lying on its belly, tiny wings flopped to the side. Around it are other plush pals in warm browns, creams, and greens, forming a protective snuggle-wall. Tucked among them, just barely visible, is a padded adult backside in pastel-printed protection with a cute character design, peeking out from the plush pile like someone tried very hard to hide in the fluff and only mostly succeeded.

Let's get this started... either going to be massive success, or huge failure. XD

Enjoying a bit of a quiet retreat before heading home tomorrow.

Have a ryokan booked for tonight, in kurashiki, which is this lovely old canal area.

10 years ago... A local furry Halloween event at a hotel shared space with a Bible study group for an evening.

Shenanigans ensued.
A sign that says "The Trippy Furry Snuggle [Bible Study]" "Come [Wholesome Family Entertainment (21+)]" "18+ Saturday Night Late" Square brackets indicate taped over sections of the original sign... Which probably were for much more suggestive terms of what occurred inside. 😇

Bright green bok choy and smug scallions perch on top, blissfully unaware of the carnage they're about to cause. The air itself hums with numbing pepper and roasted sesame-aroma of both triumph and impending regret. Off-frame, one fox valiantly pretends he's "handling the heat," while privately negotiating peace terms with his digestive system.

Descended into a BIIIIIIIG CAVE SYSTEM (Huanglongdong) of glowing stalactites and endless stairs.

Echoes, cool air, and colors straight out of a dragon's dream.
