You might want a double take on Maho Tsukai though, because a lot of modern problems in handling themes, characters and other aspects started all the way back there. And Maho Tsukai itself was a huge regression from its predecessors.

Modern Precure not having physical fighting is strictly Wonderful's problem though, it hasn't gone away elsewhere. The "quality" of said fighting is another question, but Princession isn't that far ahead to make the difference either.

The problem is Precure didn't just "change", it regressed. And Princession doesn't feel like "old" Precure in any measure, it feels exactly the way Precure feels "now", with all the same problems that made people fall out of Precure in the first place.

Pretty sure Macross is Precure XD

Frankly, you get used to the new voices pretty quickly and most of them are surprisingly fitting for the characters. The anime's good, though it's paced a bit different with 3 episodes per arc instead of 2.

I'd say it's better than most at making you laugh, but as a whole package there's just better shows to look at. It's not bad by any measure, it just depends a lot on your preferences and priorities.
