Just finished “The Invisible Bridge” about Hungarian Jews during WWII. The parallels to today are chilling, except instead of disappearing Jews in boarded-up train cars, it’s Latinxs in airplanes.

I didn’t leave academia because I stopped loving research, writing, or mentoring.
I left because I knew I deserved a life where I could thrive—not just fight to survive.
Today, I get to live fully, earn more than enough to feel secure, and be present for the moments that matter most.
