I beg to differ. Students taking on debt in order to work for free in academia, for the sake of 'gaining experience,' is very much a labor trafficking vibe. Even a waitress gets paid for training. Yet it's so culturally ingrained that no one challenges this.

Totally. Actually, male athletes have been coming forward about their own sexual abuse at the hands of coaches and doctors. Higher Ed is just so good at covering that up too.
