Life update: I just didn't stop this summer. I'm a bit resentful because I needed rest and I wanted to catch up with internet friends and some irl friends and stuff, but I couldn't. Lots of people demanding lots of my time and I kinda got angry at that. I need better boundaries.

There are 8 or 9 sparrows that systematically come to my window to ask for food. The one in the picture stands out because he's always the first one to come, and he sits there if there isn't any food to make sure I see him because he knows I'll feed him if he stays there.

Another lesson learnt the hard way: do the absolute bare minimum at work and be as mediocre as you can be while getting work done. Being good at something will only kill you slowly, inside and outside. Even worse if you're a teacher, with the insanely high expectations thrown at us.

This year's lesson is that if you really truly want to have healthy relationships as an adult, there's a TON of inner work to be done before you consider having a long-term thing with someone else.

I feel like I've been pouring everything I have to give on all the wrong things again and again, trying to make things work... only for those things to keep on failing harder and draining me even more. Health is shit as a result and I'm lonelier than ever.
