I was in for my monthly infusion (post clinical trial - #blood_cancer_sucks) and, with this forearm, it took the RN 3 times to actually hit the vein.
Sometimes you just gotta take a deep breath and LOL.

Okay, some friendly career advice for nurses out there: If you have to insert an IV needle on the arm in the picture below, and you're only able to find a vein after the third try, maybe shifting to clinical research is a viable option.
Because I'm not sure it gets much easier than this.
