That was my gateway into this fascination. Airfix figures everywhere and this on the record player. As I recall Mum and Dad had a sheep skin rug ( 70s essential) which I used for beach landings and jungle warfare.

In honour of this Ken I shall have walk along the sea front at Scarborough and shelter in a local hostelry. It is valentines after all, I’m sure our lass won’t mind!
