We were buzzed earlier this evening by the new Air Ambulance. It flew around the area for 15 mins. I think it was just a training flight. They are a charity and survive on donations. It’s not a cheep thing to run a helicopter. We pay £10 a month to them. you just never know when you might need them!

Another evening with really weird lighting conditions. The moon lighting the bottom of some really high clouds. Looks like that anyway.

Howick Hall near Alnwick, home of the Earl Grey (and the tea of the same name). Sadly he wasn’t a businessman and failed to trademark the name of Earl Grey tea so never made any money from it.

The petrol flail hasn’t been running right so giving it a service, new filters, plugs etc.It’s always been noisy. It looked like it was blowing past the exhaust gaskets. took the exhaust off to see what size the gaskets are. This is what I found. The exhaust gaskets have been badly fitted since new!

Had our dinner out on Friday evening to the lovely Sheep Heid Inn at Duddingston, Edinburgh. Reputedly Britain’s oldest pub. (c1360) not far away is the ancient Duddingston Kirk. Reported to have been built in 1124.
