It’s not like Almedia dropped him almedia is at a high level this year I always thought it was not going to be a cakewalk esp if Jonas isn’t in his peak shape we all know tour shape Jonas isnt something he can maintain but yh Jonas is good Almedia is just a problem I think he will be fine

benson and ciro dropped the news at the same time...marca also had an article at the same time...most liekly uae leaked it them before their official annoucement...its called a brief happens a lot in football with stories where teams leak the stories to a group of journos

Haha yeah u never know but he looks good and hautacam was an outlier maybe he still looses time but not 2 min…I do believe in Jonas at the vuelta…pog isn’t bad but he isn’t dominant I don’t buy bc he has a time gap he is just chilling if he could attack and gain even more time he would imo

yeah i think the plan has been to minimize time loss until these stages to rlly go for it...i think the time trial and hautacam stages like jonas said he lost more time that they wanted at this pointt...this week was too easy to drop pog alpes climbs r a bit more steeper..pog prolly too good tho

sounds like jonas and visma r planning on attacking nice that they dont give up...i think u will see them more in this last week stay with jonas and do a train

His level worse than 2022 idk could be a bad day so I’ll hold off on saying anything too rash but u can’t say u arrived at ur best level and u do a performance worse than 3 years ago his level was higher after the crash last year I think maybe they messed his prep to focus too much on explosivity

He shouldn’t follow anymore or try just do your own pace. Another thing that concerns me is he keeps saying he is best ever level and let’s say today was a bad day that’s his 2nd one time trial wasn’t good either he never had these bad days in 2022 and 2023

I also fear I expected him to improve and today he wasn’t even close I just wonder if maybe he stagnated a bit and I think they worked too much on the explosivity but yeah I like Jonas a lot especially cause I’m American gutted for him rn

I need to see more data points but to me it’s the way it looks alright pog is better but it seems then he is shipping time and the others behind him r getting closer he is properly blowing on these climbs…like why isn’t he able to do his own pace after pog gets the gap

lol yeah they were both cooked. Underated aspect of this is pogi has to be prolly go over his limit to gap Jonas unlike others and I think he also cracked a bit towards the end

I have seen some people saying he looked back and he started slipping u might think he was cooked but he closed the gap easily afterwards I need to re watch that part again
