My favorite part of the process is helping and empowering actors. There are numerous proud parent moments for me when someone starts in our technique class, works in ongoing scene study and is able to seize career opportunities based on skill. Austin Butler would be a prime example of that.

I think Austin has made it pretty clear by his career choices that no one is going to force him to fit any mold or take any path. Having said that, I don't find the stories of the Gerbers pressuring him to be at all credible.
