6/ Fair Funding for Social Housing 🏢

Public housing shouldn’t be financially punished.

Right now, govs pay more to build & maintain public homes than community housing—thanks to GST rules and unfair Rent Assistance access.

Let’s fix the system and end the youth penalty.

5/ Boost Rent Assistance Now 🏠

Renters are hurting—and Rent Assistance isn’t keeping up.

Raise the rate by 50% for singles, 40% for couples, and index it to the real rental market.
It’s the fastest way to help low-income renters right now.

4/ One Licence to Build Them All 👷‍♀️

We don’t just need more workers—we need them where the homes are.
A national trades licensing scheme would end arbitrary rules, let workers cross borders, and fill the skills gap fast.

If you can build a house in WA, you can build one in Vic!

3/ Feasibility Fund 🏗️

Good projects are stalled by a bad economic environment.

A Targeted Infrastructure Feasibility Fund, inspired by bi-partisan WA policies, would rebate key costs—like water and power hookups—to get apartments built in places that need them most.

2/ Fix Housing Accord Incentives 💸

States can’t meet housing targets with vague promises and no support.
Let’s pay them to upzone, simplify planning, and fast-track homes—not just reward them 5 years later.

Smart incentives now = more homes, faster.

1/ National Townhouse Accord 🏘️

Australia needs more homes where people want to live.

A National Townhouse Accord would allow townhouses across our cities by-right — reforming outdated rules, boosting supply, and replicating Auckland’s upzoning success.
