When my wife and I lived in Portland, we took a trip to the Oregon Coast Aquarium. At the time, they had a behind-the-scenes octopus tour (octopuses are high on my favorite animal list), and it was an amazing experience. I bring this up to tell you to read The Soul of an Octopus by Sy Montgomery

I 100% thought he was satire. I mean how do you read this tweet any other way? (although there’s a nonzero chance that the morons in the Trump administration saw his tweets, thought they were real, said “We love the way this guy thinks!” and gave an ambassadorship to a satirist)
