It’s been a long two months since I saw THE LADY EVE for the first time so I am back for more Lady Eve Sidwich and her Hopsy. #tcmparty

Let’s see how a rewatch of THE TENDER TRAP goes. I just love Debbie Reynolds. #tcmparty

Aaaand I’m done watching this nonsense.

Now watching (for the first time!) the original OCEAN’S 11. I’ve always meant to watch this — just never have. What better day than Frank Sinatra day? #tcmparty

I was gifted some garlic chives earlier this summer and the flowers are just beginning to bloom. In addition to the plant leaves, the flowers and their stems are edible. I haven’t cooked with any part, yet; I’ve just been enjoying it grow.

Also, I thought only cartoon characters boxed like this. #thestrawberryblonde

Watching THE STRAWBERRY BLONDE for the first time and I know it’s James Cagney’s day, but Olivia de Havilland is delightfully opinionated and sassy in this film and I love her. #thestrawberryblonde

The Night of the Hunter is such a dark, haunting, peculiar, beautiful, and truly unique film. It’s a shame Charles Laughton never got to see his masterpiece appreciated as it is today. #tcmparty

I wish every child had a Rachel Cooper in their life.

It’s nearing my bedtime, I’m recording this film, I own the Criterion blu-ray, and yet I still can’t help myself from watching THE NIGHT OF THE HUNTER right now. #TCMParty

Weirdest one-sentence film synopsis? I think so. #tcmparty

My lumbar support (who’s angry because I moved) while trying to watch LOVE IS A MANY-SPLENDORED THING. I’m not really liking how creepily aggressive Holden’s character is. #tcmparty

Today’s featured chronic illness symptom: ice pick headaches, which feel exactly like the name — as though a frozen ice pick is stabbing through my skull, into my brain. I’ve been having them more of late and I don’t know why and it’s difficult to function. #chronicillness #me/cfs

Usually, I find just the empty exoskeletons clinging to the trees around my house, but today I found this little guy gradually beginning anew.

My son got me this chonky book for my birthday and the short chapter on all his cameos is my favorite. I guess he did them at home, too? The caption reads: “Alma Hitchcock likes to keep her fridge well stocked.”

Sat down to read Foster’s book and the opening paragraphs are about Lorraine Hansberry’s play, A RAISIN IN THE SUN, the film adaptation of which I watched just the other day. So, thanks, once again @tcmtv.bsky.social for the introduction to good stories.
