Vox mimics people in order to steal their identities and ideas. He changes some aspects (like adding a pin or 2 and making his own wings) but he pretends he’s original when really he’s not.

It’s attention seeking insecure behavior.

Watching Alastor fight in season 2 really brings to light how creative and clever his fighting style is. However, Husk's is even trickier in a way I think he'd find challenging. I'm intrigued that it's implied they never fought and Alastor instead went for his gambling weakness.
