All this does is make Dems look like they have no convictions, like they'll only buddy up with you if they think the association will net them more votes. Which people perceived last year and used as reason to vote against the Dems.

Dems barely talked trans rights during the campaign, but Republican attacks somehow gaslit them into thinking they did, and that issue cost them Congress and the White House. It didn't. Not properly addressing economic woes and abandoning working people for moderate Republicans did way more damage.
