zeta is probably like the most War Is Fucking Hell of the UC stuff I think but 0079 definitely goes there, too, with Amuro's arc. and is necessary setup for zeta

It depends entirely on your tolerance for old anime I think. If you don't mind it, def 0079/original > zeta > watch or skip ZZ > CCA. And the side UC shows are worth watching in between
