Love those games! For me it’s gonna have to be the Nintendo eShop and Xbox Live Arcade versions though. 🙂

Perhaps of interest: bsky.app/profile/abre...
I asked Grok on Twitter, and the answer really impressed me:

‘Hey, @grok, based on Donald Trump’s claims[…], how would you rate his intelligence on a scale of “incompetent blowhard”(1) to “stable genius”(5)?’

Definitely worth reading!

And of course now that I open your actual website instead of just using my feed reader, I see that you’ve mention this already… 😂

I thought maybe they’d stopped that, but when I followed your links, Sonnie’s Edge was “episode 4” of season 1:

Perhaps worth noting that Netflix randomizes(ed?) the episodes, I guess as some sort of experiment.

Anyway, I like a lot of the same ones, but Ice Age is a favorite too. Thanks for sharing! :)

‪It seems weird that Putin and Trump want to emulate the dickheads of history…until you remember how senile they are now, and how deranged they already were. If they cared for their supposedly beloved countries, they’d be working to improve them instead of messing with others.‬

Great! Love that song! ☺️

No, I’m talking about math. You’re talking about superficial stuff. Someone having access to the device due to weak security (bad or no passcode) could access everything, including “disappearing messages” before they ever disappear. Nothing is secure if you leave the door wide open, so to speak.

An abused spouse, actually — not that it’s any of your business either way.

(I realize that you were roped into this without context by someone else.)

Anyway, I didn’t say that it wouldn’t be beneficial to anyone. But there’s already an app for that — lots of them. It’s just not a security feature. You may feel that Apple should add more stuff like this. Other people do too. That’s just a different conversation.
March 2, 2025 at 9:31 AM
The point I was making is that it isn’t security. You’re entitled to your opinion, but I think Apple has and continues to make a strong case that they don’t need to have every feature/setting that some people want, and that it can cause confusion with regard to their security and privacy reputation.
March 2, 2025 at 9:28 AM
Yep. So have I. And there are already plenty of options for that if and when it’s truly the only solution to a specific problem…but it’s not real security, yet Apple supporting such a thing would result in a lot of people believing that it is. 🤷
March 2, 2025 at 7:22 AM
Only if you don’t protect it with actual security, i.e. encryption using a strong passcode. If you do that, the rest is irrelevant. Security theater only protects against idiots, and if you have anything at all worth protecting (privacy is enough!) it’s best not to assume only idiots will attack you
March 2, 2025 at 6:04 AM
It doesn’t actually protect against anything. That’s why it’s security theater. Encryption protects all data on device, which is why in all of those cases using a strong passcode gets the job done — as I know from actual firsthand experience with both of your proposed scenarios (and then some).

“Disappearing messages” are security theater. I think and hope that people at Apple are smart enough to recognize that, and have the integrity not to lie to users the way others do. They’re pretty consistent in that regard, especially when it comes to security.
