I didn’t realize Duke Energy was so supportive of stealing elections???

I guess the NCDP’s check got lost in the mail! Since they’re all “bi-partisan” and everything. Or was this check used to buy the energy rate hikes the legislature just passed onto every NC consumer???

Four republicans on the North Carolina Supreme Court (pictured above) voted to overturn the will of the voters and the election of Justice Allison Riggs. Four republicans on the N.C. Supreme Court chose to retroactively toss out ballots of military voters. We won’t WHO they are.

Yesterday, Justice Allison Riggs was sworn in as the 106th member of the North Carolina Supreme Court. The program read, “In November of 2024, Justice Allison Riggs won her seat…her race was certified May 13th, 2025.”

Even 6 months of NCGOP election denial couldn’t stop Justice.

North Carolina Democrats are hitting the road again this summer! Public education powers our state. And Republicans in both our state legislature and state courts refuse to fund them adequately. Time we take that argument to people.

🚨 We’re in the gallery today for the State House vote on HB 171 - otherwise known as a bill to ban to DEI in state agencies! ⬇️

Democrats are wearing black to signal disagreeing with the bill.

Wisconsin has held an entire Supreme Court election and Jefferson Griffin still hasn’t conceded the one he lost last year

thank u to the raleigh comedy festival for truly humbling me last night! It was fantastic to be with mediocre comedians and our fantastic Raleigh mayor, Janet Cowell!

I heard they had invited thom tillis, but then told him there would be a *live* crowd. (he never showed) 🤭

Honored to attend the 140th Anniversary of the Gridiron Dinner as a guest of McClatchy. It was Thomas Jefferson who said, “Our liberty depends on the freedom of the press, and that cannot be limited without being lost.”

We must fight to protect it from people in power who refuse to do so.

North Carolina Dems are building the bench we need to sustain our party and state. Thank you to all our public servants who stepped up to run in 2024. Do you know someone good to run in YOUR community in our state? Send them the form! ⬇️

Friday: a big thanks to Haw River Ballroom in📍Alamance County for hosting a ✨disenfranchisement disco✨ for the 60,000 voters impacted by republicans trying to steal a Supreme Court election! Shit is hard right now, but that doesn’t mean letting Republicans steal our joy! 🪩🕺

Wednesday: things don’t always go as planned in this job. And I’ve learned that from the amount of time I spend on the road - and it just so happened that the 5.5 hour drive back from clay county got me (and mainly my car) - I hit an animal coming back near Black Mountain 🥲

Tuesday: I bounced over about ~2.5 hours from McDowell to📍Clay County. Clay only has around ~11,000 folks in the county, but I left feeling encouraged by the energy and resiliency of folks there to keep standing up against republicans in Raleigh and Washington. #RuralMatters

Monday: I hit the road west after two press interviews to join our county party in📍McDowell County for their monthly meeting. We talked about municipal elections, finding common ground with neighbors, and what we did right last election cycle (Justice Allison Riggs - 734 votes).

Sunday: I take deep responsibility for what we must do to protect communities who are the most threatened by a trump administration. Community is everything, & our state party must continue to build it in every corner of our state. WRAL let me talk about that & more below! ⬇️

one week ago, North Carolina Democrats re-elected me as their Chair. I’m immensely grateful for the trust, time, and energy folks have put in me to lead this party in one of the most difficult times for us as a country. I will never take it for granted. Here’s a weekly recap: 🧵

📍McDowell County tonight was filled with folks concerned about the future of our country. I got to talk about Democrats like @jeffjacksonnc.bsky.social and @joshsteinnc.bsky.social fighting back against over-reach from the federal government at the state level.

Thanks to all for showing up! 🤠

From📍Rowan Dems to📍Rutherford Dems, one thing stayed consistent: standing room only! I was in awe at how many Dems came out tonight. Majority of them being first time attendees of a county party meeting! 🫶

📍Buncombe County Democrats this morning with over 200+ folks!!! definitely everything I needed and more. I’m in awe to see the energy across North Carolina building for our party — in both our rural communities and democratic strongholds. No off years & year-round organizing. 🤠
