Here, nothing got addressed and no correction implemented. Scott continues to perform to similar crowds and they continue to report that they were packed like sardines and had difficulty breathing.

Then as it was ending, knowing that Live Nation and Scott were not held accountable sparks even more anger. Oftentimes when tragedies happen, there’s never a course correction.

I feel so much for those concert goers who were excited to have an event after Covid restrictions eased. The survivors guilt and having to revisit that night through this doc must’ve been difficult. And they’ve begun to share their stories, which isn’t aligning with the media narrative.

Another thing, I don’t buy that only 10 people died when it seems like bodies on top of bodies were falling on each other in the crush. Even the aftermath of the venue with shoes/clothing left behind and the large black areas give a sense that a lot of people (in the 1000s) were impacted.

Yes this is small instance, but from this and so many others, they showcase that objective facts are subject to their opinion. The lack of curiosity, acceptance of truth, and understanding difference of opinion versus fact infuriates me so much.

The individual researched and read about the events of Y2K and then came to the conclusion of “I don’t believe it.” This response encapsulates my frustration with the younger generations.

This reminds me of that viral clip of Ben Affleck’s commentary on Armageddon where he was drunk. He challenged the movies’ plot by pointing out the NASA astronauts could learn the oil rig work and go to space without the oil rig team. He was shot down by Michael Bay for being too pragmatic.

And it’s not even a dish that was indigenous to the Indian diet, it was just the colonizers gentrifying curry and chicken, but without the spice. As per my Grandpa.
