Who in N'dakinna is ready for a Pride Party for the People?
Pride is all year!
Let's celebrate us by making sure vital community care programs can continue!
🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈
So thankful for my neighbor in Lenapehoking, Uni Love

She was so & communicated what would happen every step of the way. They curated a soft, welcoming space. This was a special ritual for me, to celebrate queer history & my indigenous culture.
We preserve culture through body modification.

Have you ever seen Dyer's Woad? Onyx loves to frolic through them. Onyx thinks you should send an
offering to Chris Light to keep them housed. Mindy does too

Chris is a trans, dark-skinn3d community caregiver who protects life-giving forests

Grateful for the kind folks who masked & learned different pruning techniques for trees & tree-shrubs. The cold made us come inside for the workshop
🌳
I taught this skill because how we treat the trees, our kin, is important. How & why we engage with trees is important

We fed the land. We gave songs to the sweet cherry tree. Along with free housing & food, this was one of the survival skills we shared at the Beautiful Black Trans Skillshare & Retreat.

We are indigenous. The trees are our kin. Grateful to get to know Red Beech, Sugar Maple, & Bitter Hickory trees in N'dakinna 🌱
Introduce yourself. Take a breath. Give an offering to your elders, the trees. They know so much. They hold so much ✨

Grateful to the keepers of the trees. At the Beautiful Black Trans Skillshare & Retreat we shared the knowledge of local tree shrub propagation. We took pieces of elderberry, red osier dogwood, pussy willow, & black currant. We dipped the pieces in aloe before planting. Excited to watch them grow✨

We gave offerings to N'dakinna, asked permission, & foraged for eastern white pine needles for allergy support tea. We rinsed them well, boiled a sprig of needles in a tea kettle, let steep for 30 min & enjoyed

Even frozen & wind blown, this Juniper tree is alive & will live because it is cared for by a whole forest. Just like us, if we show up for each other
