I personally would love to have seen Best, Dalglish, Giggs, Rush (to name but 4) playing for 'us'. I always said the e.g. Liverpool teams of the 80s would have thrashed the England team of the day.

A combined league does not mean a requirement for a combined national team. It's all about the business model.

I've often thought how odd it is that Welsh teams play in the English leagues/cups. However, I'd like to see the better Scottish teams trying to hang in the Premier League/Championship too.

Frankly I doubt it. I am staying sane by not engaging, by blocking them out and focusing on the good things (always a better plan). Hopefully the Blades will keep me distracted (in a good way) for the next four year!

My view is that the kind of men that insist on names like this should consider the names 'Viagra' or 'Vacuum Pump' would be better and more appropriate names

Absolutely! This is what promotion is made of. We 'should' be beating Norwich, but to do so like this with such a depleted squad. I'd love to draw comparisons with the fantastic 89-90 season but I'd just miss Brian and Tony even more ...
