Went for a run this morning, and I decided to try and make Ugali for the first time. I think I did okay, though it could have been smoother.

Post run lunch of vegetarian chilli and ugali

Tourism is great. 32:05. Second fastest time ever and a PB for the year. I pushed hard and I'm really pleased with my result. #parkrun

Bailed on #parkrun this morning, Still taking it easy after the Big Half last weekend. Now I have the photos I can show you my finish photo: The pictures of me as I set off to walk home don't show me having as much fun

The Big Half in 3:09:21. What made me think I could run a half marathon with 10 weeks training? I thought I would give it large but I was just trying to get through each Km by the end. #running #thebigholf

I've got The Big Half this weekend. And in a fit of optimism I've signed up for a 55 Km urban ultra next June. www.beyondtrails.co.uk/beyond...

I may be in need of thoughts and prayers, or maybe an intervention.

Easy run at Catford #parkrun. Looks like my scan failed but never mind. It wasn't a fast time. Ran home as a cool down and that's my running done for this month. Almost 120km. Wouldn't have thought it possible 2 months ago.

Since the Big Half is next week l'll trot around Catfor #parkrun this morning

Slowly, but surely, getting back to where I used to be.

Did Hilly Fields #parkrun today and my best time of the year so far:

This is what a long slow run looks like for an older runner trying to get back into it.

Week 3/10 of my prep for The Big Half is done.

A little steady exercise and watching what I eat has made a big difference to my weight. I don't look any different, but I certainly feel better.

I volunteered at Hilly Fields #parkrun this morning. Didn't want to get wet shoes/sockes so I took my Xero Aqua Clouds out. Did a gentle jog there and back. 3km in total. Uphill out and downhill back.

Surprisingly easy to run in, and really meke you work on your form.

Managed the curly wurly at Thames Path #Parkrun. Really hot, but a nice course, well organised and friendly and supportive runners.

Almost negative splits, but it was hot and I faded at the end.

I look worn out already

I'm up in time. On my way to Thames Park #parkrun and the curly wurly

Charldon #parkrun this morning. Managed a PB of 39:00, even with a loo break after lap 1. The cooler weather helped. As did the first week of training runs. I have an 8k long slow run tomorrow and that is week 1/10 done.

Following my scheduled "Easy" run today. 6km which I did along the nice flat Thames Path.

I have such lovely places to run nearby. It's a shame I stopped for so long.

Less than 10 weeks to The Big Half. I may not finish it fast, but if I stay on track I'll finish it strong.
