James Hadley Chase. This guy’s books were everywhere in the late 70s/early 80s. Usually with a scantily clad Page 3 girl on the cover. Carolyn Evans in this case (she is well worth checking out!). Apparently he published over 90 books between 1939 and 1984. Not read any of them. Good covers though.

Fabulous album from a wonderful band. UFO’s 1975 release Force It (faucet….get it? Actually took me years to twig). Highly recommended. The models on the rather risqué cover were Genesis P-Orridge and Cosey Fanni Tutti of the industrial band Throbbing Gristle. You have to give this a listen.

Gail Thackray. Born 1964 in Yorkshire, England. Page 3 and top shelf glamour model. Went to the States. Had a career as a B movie actress. Got interested in spiritually, wrote some books on the subject. Amassed a huge collection of softcore porn images. Made a fortune selling these on to magazines.

Cyndi Wood. Playboy’s Playmate of the Month for February 1973. And the 1974 Playmate of the Year. Appearing as one of the Playmate dancers in Apocalypse Now (1979). Not one of my favourite films. But she is lovely.

Confessions of a Driving Instructor. By Timothy Lea (okay…..Christopher Wood). The second book in the series, published in 1972. The film adaptation was released in 1976 (actually the third film….don’t know why). The only Confessions book I have actually read.
