A bit naughty. A little saucy. But all done in the best possible taste.
Paula Ann Bland. Another great Mayfair cover. Volume 23, number 3. March 1988. Paula played Claire Scott in Grange Hill. Kids TV to the top shelf. She only went topless in her set. Bit disappointing really. Though she looks good in stockings and suspenders.

James Hadley Chase. This guy’s books were everywhere in the late 70s/early 80s. Usually with a scantily clad Page 3 girl on the cover. Carolyn Evans in this case (she is well worth checking out!). Apparently he published over 90 books between 1939 and 1984. Not read any of them. Good covers though.

Fabulous album from a wonderful band. UFO’s 1975 release Force It (faucet….get it? Actually took me years to twig). Highly recommended. The models on the rather risqué cover were Genesis P-Orridge and Cosey Fanni Tutti of the industrial band Throbbing Gristle. You have to give this a listen.

Gail Thackray. Born 1964 in Yorkshire, England. Page 3 and top shelf glamour model. Went to the States. Had a career as a B movie actress. Got interested in spiritually, wrote some books on the subject. Amassed a huge collection of softcore porn images. Made a fortune selling these on to magazines.

Cyndi Wood. Playboy’s Playmate of the Month for February 1973. And the 1974 Playmate of the Year. Appearing as one of the Playmate dancers in Apocalypse Now (1979). Not one of my favourite films. But she is lovely.

Mirella D'Angelo on the cover of the May 1980 edition of Penthouse. A tie in with Caligula…..the Citizen Kane of porn. Or maybe not. Released in 1979, it’s a strange combination of A List British acting talent, Penthouse Pets and cocks. I love it.

Confessions of a Driving Instructor. By Timothy Lea (okay…..Christopher Wood). The second book in the series, published in 1972. The film adaptation was released in 1976 (actually the third film….don’t know why). The only Confessions book I have actually read.

Couple Cherche Esclaves Sexuels (Couple Searching for a Sex Slave I think?). My favourite ever adult film. Brigitte Lahaie is a delight. Fucking her husband, sucking the butler's cock or playing with her pussy. Special mention for Marie-Claude Viollet who plays a sexually repressed secretary.

Presently doing a rewatch of some Alistair MacLean film adaptations. Now on Where Eagles Dare. So it would be wrong not to recognise Ingrid Pitt’s outstanding contribution to this movie. Her amazing cleavage really should have its own credit.

Mary and Madeleine Collinson. On the cover of the October 1970 issue of Playboy. They were also that month’s centrefolds…..the first identical twins to appear as Playmates. Went on to star in the wonderful Hammer horror Twins of Evil. Essential viewing.

Porky's. Early 80s Canadian sex comedy. Ridiculously successful, it was the 6th highest grossing film of 1982 (E.T. was number one). Great shower scene. And Kim Cattrall gets a sex scene. Look VERY carefully and you see a flash of her bush. Which is nice.

Paperback smut. By Harold Robbins, the King of Paperback Smut. Read this when I was about 14. Had to dash to the loo after every sex scene for some 'relief'.

Pretty sure this is Playboy's Candy Loving. Playmate of the Month for January 1979. Filling a yellow bikini to perfection.

Madelaine Burton. Mayfair Volume 17, number 4. Magnificent.

Lesley Chisholm. On the cover of Mayfair from December 1976. I love the covers of old top shelf magazines. Warm colours with a slightly grainy look. And young ladies bursting out of highly impractical clothing.

Confessions of a Night Nurse from 1974. Written by Confessions of a Window Cleaner author Christopher Wood (under the pseudonym Rosie Dixon). Filmed in 1978 as Rosie Dixon - Night Nurse. Innocent trainee nurse Rosie Dixon attempts (and fails on several occasions) to hang onto her virginity.
