Godly Play kids are in fact kind of obsessed with orienting every date within liturgical time.

I’m a Godly Play trainer and so many things in our spaces are explicitly color coded - so weekly calendar check-ins, but also material underlays, the red box of the Pentecost story, the purple underlay of Faces of Easter (told during Lent), etc.

I'm running a new acolyte program & our most devoted youth acolyte (who well predates this program) came in to serve both our 8:15 & 10am because there's a badge for that. When I had asked him a few weeks ago if he'd ever done so, he said "No, I've always wanted to but I've never had the chance!"

My bin contains some standard manipulative like tangles and stress balls, liquid timers, tactile boards (like labyrinths but with waves, a rainbow, etc), a weighted lap pad, and ear defenders.
