✝️ Repent and believe the gospel (Mark 1:15) ✝️
A Christian might wear a fancy cross necklace, but they might not carry their daily cross.

A Christian might have a tattoo of a Bible verse, but they might not have His Word inscribed within their hearts.

As J.C. Ryle wrote, “All are not Christians who are called Christians.”

Natural conscience is not extinguished in the damned in hell; [it] remains there... most fully to do its proper office as God's vicegerent in the soul, to condemn those rebels against the King of heaven and earth, and manifest God's just wrath and vengeance.

Everything is legalism to the heart that is set on disobedience and rebellion.

Charles Spurgeon said it best: “[we] rejoice to yield obedience to [the commandments of God] because God is [our] Father now... Grace is the mother and nurse of holiness, and not the apologist of sin.”

“Everyone will go to heaven” is a lie. Most people only find destruction, and it's by God's grace that a few are spared (Matthew 7:13-14).

We sin every day against our Maker. Do you think you deserve heaven? As Martyn Lloyd-Jones said, “If you think you deserve heaven, you are not a Christian.”

Satan does not rage against the lives and opinions of [sinners]. Rather, he gives them peace and quietness; he maintains them in his court, with all sorts of pleasures and delights, and gives them everything they want.

John 10:28
and I give them eternal life, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand

The one who abides in Christ is forever secure—He loses no one. To walk away from Him, for whatever reason, simply means they never truly belonged to Him (1 John 2:19).

Lord, I am content to be a loser, if You be a gainer; to have less health, if I have more grace, and You more glory; whether it be food or bitter medicine You give me, Lord I desire that which may be most for Your glory.

No one can believe for you.
No one can repent for you.

As helpful as it is to go to a good church and have godly friends, your account before God will be personal.

God will see the righteousness of Christ imputed to you, or your own—and your righteousness is filthy (Isaiah 64:6).
