Built environment enthusiast all the time, and working mainly on built heritage stuff by day.
I would also accept a literal fade out where the entire platform slowly becomes quieter over months and years until completely silent. The final wave of desertion begins when all users are on maximum volume and are rendered powerless against the fade.

Teenaged me bought Acid Eaters in the pre-internet age. Loved it. Remember being intrigued at the time by the mysterious songwriter credits: B Wilson, A Lee, J Fogerty: who were they?!

It was fun when they hired a sitar for a year, called themselves Kulashaker and hit the charts with a slightly different version of the song. We all enjoyed that.

That should read "Planning authorities should require applicants to show what a building is expected to look like after twenty years..."
Otherwise, I'm in agreement.

He did. It's just that lazy people in the Federation listened to him via their universal translator on a generic US accent preset. This lazy use of technology enabled the Geordie accent to flourish without dilution into the 24th century.

This shows the folly of putting a dept with zero interest in /remit for keeping the tunnel open in charge of it. Transfer it to an org that actually cares about active travel - they'll get a proper price to make good and will secure the funds.

Depends on "good" and "relevant" but here goes: Angelo Badalamenti? Ennio Morricone? Barbara Streisand?
60s might be a push for Bette Midler. Steve Reich? Philip Glass?

It's slim pickings: Orange Crate Art (credited to Brian Wilson and Van Dyke Parks), his second solo album Imagination, I Just Wasn't Made For These Times (no songs on it written in 90s). Pet Sounds Sessions revelatory but all old. OCA is a classic, Imagination OK, the others presentations of oldies.

Totally agree with all of that. The same advice also applies to Van Dyke Parks's early 80s album Jump! that's based on the Uncle Remus stories and made shortly after VDP's playing (and arranging?) on the Popeye Soundtrack.
