There are restraints within neoliberalism, and in liberal democracies in general, which make them incompatible with the interests of the working person, their basic ideological core reduces the working person to an underclass whose participation in government will lead to ruin.

That's the thing though, when it comes to what has been implemented, the interests of those crafting and operating within the core mechanics of a given type of state and political economy will guide the direction it takes and the consequences for the average person. Most states are neolib-republics.

This is Colonial shit on American streets. With all the talk of an "invasion" justifying this sort of policy, it seems more like an invasion of America is being undertaken on the part of the Federal Executive Apparatus rather than any other entity, nation, or class of people they're claiming.

It's a good intermediary step, definitely. I'm not convinced that it's something that can actually last in any way though. If people who have the most wealth are allowed to be exponentially more wealthy than the average person, they're a threat. Capital is a threat to democracy, supervised or not.
