The difference is that SpaceX provides a service to the federal government in return for money, just like any other government contractor. Should we defund Lockheed? If your logic follows, the government shouldn’t deal with any contractors. They can all survive on their own.

South Africa is objectively worse off today than it was under apartheid. That does not mean apartheid is the solution, it means the current government is so corrupt that the conditions under apartheid can actually, legitimately, by a number of factors, be favorably compared to the current situation.
