Hey Steve, Vision & the Scarlet Witch #5 was AMAZING the PERFECT end to this arc! Gargantos was handled in such a unique way, and the graverealm scene with Wanda and Vision nearly had me in tears. A magical blend of mysticism and romance. You’re a blessing for Wanda fans, and the art shines too! ☺️

Personally, I lean toward the first theory. In issue #4, Gargantos’s reveal felt biological, almost as if he was feeding on Graverealm to grow which matches Brainiac’s habit of growing new bodies to use as proxies. Either way, we’ll likely get a clear answer in issue #5. 😊

In that case, Gargantos would be using Shuma-Gorath appearance to be feared as a Nameless one, deceiving not only Wanda and Vison but the Reaper too. (That would be an interesting twist 👀)

The “Gothmog” hint would explains how the same name can apply to two very different looking characters.

1) Gargantos is one of Shuma-Gorath’s proxies (like Brainiac’s clones).

2) Gargantos is Shuma-Gorath himself, or a body like his being used as a disguise (mirroring Jodo Kast’s imitation of Boba Fett).

3) Jodo Kast/Boba Fett: Kast wore armor nearly identical to Boba Fett’s, copying his image to gain fame as a Bounty hunter.

Put together, these point to two main possibilities :

1) Gothmog : one version representing Tolkien’s books and another from the films. Same name, but very different designs.

2) Brainiac : a villain who operates through proxies, often by growing clones or new bodies to control through his advanced mental abilities.

Huge shoutout to Steve Orlando he keeps pulling threads from earlier stories and tying everything together in a way that feels super rewarding. It makes the story stronger.

I’d totally recommend grabbing this issue. You can order it through the link below!

No spoilers, but the cliffhanger? Yeah… it feels like it’s going to be a huge moment for the story going forward. And I’m definitely nervous for Vision after how things have gone for others in similar situations 👀

We also get to explore a new and very dark setting that’s full of symbolism. It creates a really cool contrast with past storylines and adds to the emotional weight of the issue.

There’s also a growing mystery around who might be pulling the strings behind the scenes, and it’s keeping things super intriguing without giving too much away.
Vision shines here too he’s dealing with a lot emotionally, and it’s cool to see him acting more from the heart than from pure logic.

One part I really loved was Wanda calling out the whole "playing god" thing. She makes it clear that just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should. It hits on some deep stuff like being responsible, and the weight of having that kind of power.👌

There are some really sweet moments between Wanda and Vision that fans are gonna love 🥺. Their dynamic feels so genuine, and there's one choice Wanda makes that really shows how much she cares and is patient with Vision ❤️

Ah, that makes sense. Thank you for clarifying. I really appreciate it!

I have a quick question. I was a bit confused because, in issue 9, there’s a panel that shows what I assume to be Wanda's bedroom, and in the background, we can see three moons. That seems odd since the location appears to be New York, Lotkill. Is there a particular explanation for that?🤔
