Was this presentation recorded? And do you have a ballpark idea of when the book will be published?

My old parish was exclusively Rite I. It’s where I was introduced to TEC and confirmed, so it was weird for me to move to Rite II.

The parish I’m at now only does Rite I for lent.

Now this is a hot take

I just looked up my paper and what I actually went with is, “My little member is thicker than my father’s loins.”

So I was a little more explicit while still opting for less crude language. That’s the needle I was trying to thread.

lol I had to translate this passage for a paper in seminary, and I went with something like this, but I also explained the euphemism in a footnote, which is what I wish our English translations did

My spiritual director was trained at the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation in D.C. and practices a contemplative approach. It’s been a great experience so I would recommend someone with similar training and approach.

If you’re there long enough to also try Commissary’s BBQ Nachos, then I highly recommend

That’s great! I was a TA for Robbie Griggs at CTS, and he spoke highly of you. I’m also a fan of your work and would love to work on Hebrews myself. I just need to get through my ordination process and then I can think about doctoral work.

Congrats! Will you be supervising doctoral students in this new role?

I’ve also recently run into a similar response in TEC. A few priests were surprised to hear that the parish I came from was exclusively Rite I & inclusive.
