So the upshot is this: if you want to know that I'm transgender, then the alternative isn't man or woman, it's cisgender. If you want to know my actual gender identity, then you should give me the option to choose woman separate from being trans. Does that make sense?

Just FYI, asking trans people to choose between Woman or man or transgender ain't right. Trans isn't a gender identity, it's the state of having a gender identity that's not your AGAB.
